B-Xentric
We have since we first recieved B-Xentrics birthday-mix been totally in love with his mixing skills, so it was no wonder that felt obligated to get his arse to Sweden. So right after Modas massive birthday-party where he played for a crowd consisting of 2000 people, he took the flight to Sweden a few hours later. The result? One of the best weekends of my life and one hell of a I Love Electro-clubnight!
We took of course the liberty to record his dj-set, so you who missed out the night can hear what a god-send dj he is. I have also divided up his liveset in two parts, since the first part consisted most of Electro Synth and his second more Harder Disco. But enough said people: Enjoy!

Chromeo
Canadian duo Chromeo are back and pimpin’ funky Rocky 3 eye of the tiger style! Latest single called Night by Night is a smooth 80’s disco revenge that grabs a hold and never let’s go. There never was and never will be a band as genius as Chromeo, always reminds me of how these guys truly came up with a unique sound combining funky disco, guitar leads and solos and electro beats all topped with lovin’ vocals that just makes me feel ~censored~ cool. Every song has so many awesome one liners that you can drop at any occation and just ooze style, I find myself singing them over and over again. The thing is if they weren’t a part of Chromeo, they wouldn’t be cool at all. These guys just got so much style it’s ridiculous.

Dead Disco Drivers
What is with musicians that wear masks are almost consistently to my liking? Dead Disco Drivers, two guys out of Kortrijk, Belgium are no exception. Driven on by a dirty, violent bass and some hard hitting drums, DDD’s danger ride starts at blisterting speed and I can’t seem to find any brakes.

Fear Of Tigers
Our good friend Fear of Tigers remixed the pop song of the year, signed the good guys in Sound of Arrows. Into the Clouds is finally out on a long awaited limited 12″ inch through wonderful Neon Gold. You better be fast if you wanna get your hands on this one, word is it’s going fast! Pick it up at Neon Gold (US) or at Puregroove (UK).
The dreamy driving rework from Fear of Tigers is found on the B-side along with the remix from Gold Dust, here’s the Fear of Tigers remix both as video and mp3 to demonstrate the power of this release. Breathtaking.

Give me A Kiss
Give me a kiss is a french steam boat equipped with heavy machinery and gritty weaponry powered by ~censored~ up sawed up distorted engines that comes roaming in really slick on a wave of electro and hits you in the face with brute force. Really though, Give Me a Kiss are three dudes trying to take bangers to the next level and if you ask me they’re doing a damn good job at it! Show these guys some love and support on their myspace, while digging some more of their tunes.

Haezer
Haezer is the punkiest, dirtiest most magnificant sound I heard in a while. If something is capable of moving mountains it’s definitely this. Fans of Bloody Beetroots and alikes be aware as this will make them sound like grandmas farts compared. Who the ~censored~ is Haezer? This is Haezer.

Ishivu
Take the power of Symbol One, the tension and danger of err.. Danger and the playfulness of Mille and I think we pretty much nail it. Ishivu is swedish Wille J. Cohen, another one in the line of wonder kids I discovered the last year. Now those are some heavy producers I compared him with, and rightfully so cause man can this guy paint beautiful soundscapes and drop the right synths at the right time.
It even gets better, all this coming from a guy who grew up listening to the Hanson brothers, so a big shout out to them if this is the outcome. And it might come as a shock that Ishivu is 16 years old, moving on 17, with the potential and time he has got, he should be put on everybodys watchlist from now on. These three tunes are all top notch quality stuff, enjoy.

Some time ago, we featured the wonderkid Ishivu for already being an incredible producer at such a young age. And now some days ago, I got contacted by Kamei all the way from Brazil presenting some awesome French-Filter House tracks which just screams funky! Now here’s the most amazing part; this lad is just 15(!) years old, and can already deliver top-notch tunes that will be essentials for House-dj’s all around the world. Livyo
French dreamwave disco house at it’s best. If this is your cup of tea you’ve probably heard about this guy before, Livyo popped up on the blog scene in the end of 2008, and recently his track Quark has been getting frequent attention. I’m in love with these sounds and decided to dig out some goodies for us all. Livyo truly deserves more hype, as this is some of the best synth works that has come out of france.
If this comes as an introduction then heads up! fans of Lifelike, Binary and Valerie, you will be delighted as sounds of late night summer synthesizers and moonlight lit highways will fill the air. Here is Quark, along with latest works Just Say and Why feat Geyster which is so good I could actually cry. Seriously. A dödselectro premiere you should embrace.

A lot of bangers here lately, so it’s nice softening things up a little. It’s time for some fresh filtered french house and some groovin nu-disco signed poka. poka is living and producing in Athens, Greece, where he is also part of the dj duo stella starz along with his buddy Sp. Recently he’s been picked up by some heavy names over in the UK, and Jaymo and Andy George played his tracks on Radio 1. Things are only looking up for poka and rightfully so, your affection and lonely nights are definitely some of the best disco tracks I heard lately.

One of my favourites Public just dropped this on my mail, a remix he made of the track Vaporous by canadian duo Elsiane. Now, Public hardly needs an introduction here anymore, if you’re a frequent reader you know he delivers excelent disco tracks but this is something different damn it! I am blown away by the beauty of it, what a wonderful feel. It’s a mish mash of a lot of good things, New Order, Karin Dreijer like vocals, valerie, the cure? I don’t know, those are my imressions. Nevertheless, a ~censored~ amazing disco track.

Redial
News from the aussie who does it best, Redial managed to sqeeze an original and a remix in between the crazy touring schedule. Sure, the remix of La Roux’s Bulletproof came a little late maybe, but hey does it matter? Nah, especially not when it’s the best remix the track has seen, period. As for the original, Redial teamed up with Nik Valentino who bring the vocals on this oh so sweet track called Let me Go. You’re probably expecting another banger, but this is top notch disco! Really feeling this.

Rex The Dog
Electronica house god Rex the Dog remixed the most hyped duo out there right now; Röyksopp & their golden “oldie” ‘This Must Be It’ featuring Karin Dreijer. We seem to be the first to post this up (besides rex himself) which is pretty cool. I think his description is ace so I quote:
“Karin Dreijer Andersson on vocals again. We are now the Karin Dreijer Andersson Remix Team or K-DART. Ha ha…. When we were asked to remix this, we only had to hear the first words: ‘Waiting for a beam to break through here, a chain way* vision all bright and clear’ to say yes. Somehow those opening lines are very beautiful, like something Rutger Hauer might have improvised in Blade Runner (a chain way what now??). The remix has a lot of vocoder in it and a steel drum melody again. Strangely hooked on those now.
(*ooops, that’s not even the lyric… it’s ‘janeway’…whaaaat?)”
Once again, I’m blown away, amazing synth work as always. Rex the Dog, Enjoy.
